Cottage

Primrose Cottage is a 16th Century cottage lovingly renovated in 2013, retaining original oak beams and an inglenook fireplace. With all the quirky cottage charm plus added modern comforts and gadgets including WIFI to ensure you have an unforgettable stay.

IMG_7257The cosy sitting room has a large sofa you can lay out on in front of the stove and a window seat to watch village life. With an eclectic mix of furniture, books and DVD’s you are sure to feel at home. A big stack of logs is provided for your use.

 

The hand painted kitchen is fully equipped for foodies with all mod cons including dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. We also provide teas and coffee, olive oil, fresh herbs, cook books and a welcome basket of local produce to help you settle in.

In the spacious bedroom with sumptuous king size bed you are guaranteed a restful slumber. The Vanessa Arbuthnott fabrics combined with crisp white Egyptian cotton linens create a modern cottage flavour. The bedroom also has a flat screen TV and ipod dock. The en-suite bathroom has a cast iron slipper bath great for a leisurely soak. For those who prefer to take a shower we also have a shower room on the ground floor. There are fluffy towels, robes and toiletries to ensure a blissful pampering experience.

Outside

The private cottage garden provides a delightful suntrap and a tranquil setting to unwind with afternoon tea. The garden is packed full of pretty cottage garden plants and a selection of herbs for cutting just outside the kitchen door.

There are 2 house bikes and a barbecue in the shed provided for your use.

Practicalities

We are baby friendly (up to 6 months) at Primrose Cottage, there is ample space in the bedroom for a cot and we are happy to provide a travel cot and high chair on request.

No pets.

There is street parking directly in front of the cottage, or alternatively you can park in the free car park 100 yards away.

Our award winning village store is 2 minutes walk from the cottage door, where you will find a wide range of groceries and local produce. Alternatively you can order your groceries on line, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco all deliver to Marnhull.

Check out on departure days is by 10.30am and check in on arrival day is from 3.30pm.
